Governador do Banco de Portugal encerra programa de seminários FEP 2021-2022
|
“Financial constraints in the intergenerational transmission of education” é o tema do seminário que o Governador do Banco de Portugal, Mário Centeno, dará no próximo dia 26 de maio, às 18h30, online, e que marca o encerramento do programa de seminários da FEP do ano letivo em curso. Membro do Conselho do Banco Central Europeu desde 20 de julho de 2020, Mário Centeno foi Ministro das Finanças entre 2015 e 2020 e Presidente do Eurogrupo entre 2018 e 2020. Nessa qualidade, exerceu funções como Presidente do Conselho de Governadores do Mecanismo Europeu de Estabilidade. O programa de seminários da FEP pretende ser um palco de debate dos temas da atualidade, garantindo uma proximidade permanente da escola com a comunidade profissional. |

Governor of Banco de Portugal closes FEP 2021-2022 seminar programme
|
"Financial constraints in the intergenerational transmission of education" is the theme of the seminar that the Governor of Banco de Portugal, Mário Centeno, will give on the 26th May, at 18h30, online, and which marks the closure of the FEP seminar programme for the current academic year. Member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank since 20 July 2020, Mário Centeno was Minister of Finance between 2015 and 2020 and President of the Eurogroup between 2018 and 2020. In that capacity, he served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the European Stability Mechanism. FEP seminar programme aims to be a stage for the debate of current issues, ensuring a permanent proximity between the school and the professional community. |

Comissão Europeia debate o futuro da Europa na FEP
|
A FEP recebe, no próximo dia 24 de maio, às 15h00, um debate sobre "O futuro da Europa e os jovens: sustentabilidade, ação climática, transformação digital e emprego", promovido pela Direção-Geral da Política Regional e Urbana da Comissão Europeia, em parceria com a Faculdade. O evento contará com a participação da Ministra da Coesão Territorial, Ana Abrunhosa, do Vice-Presidente da Câmara Municipal do Porto, Filipe Araújo, e da Diretora – DG Políticas Regional, da Coesão e Urbana da Comissão Europeia, Sofia Alves. A estes juntar-se-ão ainda Pedro Mazeda Gil, Membro do Conselho Executivo da FEP, João Dolores, CFO e Membro da Administração do Grupo Sonae, e um grupo de mais de duas dezenas de estudantes da FEP e de outras Faculdades da Universidade do Porto. Ao longo de duas horas de debate, pretende-se então reunir e promover a troca de informação e ideias, impulsionando a criação de uma plataforma de diálogo e partilha entre as instituições europeias e os jovens, que serão os líderes do futuro. |

European Commission debates the future of Europe at FEP
|
FEP hosts, on May 24th, at 15h00, a debate on "The future of Europe and young people: sustainability, climate action, digital transformation and employment", promoted by the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission, in partnership with the School. The event will be attended by the Minister for Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, the Vice-President of Porto City Hall, Filipe Araújo, and the Director - DG Regional, Cohesion and Urban Policies of the European Commission, Sofia Alves. They will be joined by Pedro Mazeda Gil, FEP Executive Board Member, João Dolores, CFO and Board Member of the Sonae Group, and a group of more than twenty students from FEP and other Schools of the University of Porto. During two hours of debate, the aim is to bring together and promote the exchange of information and ideas, boosting the creation of a platform for dialogue and sharing between the European institutions and young people, who will be the leaders of the future. |

Dar Vida Nova aos Livros Usados
|
Arranca na próxima semana a terceira edição da campanha Dar Nova Vida aos Livros Usados, promovida pela Biblioteca da FEP. A iniciativa dá a toda a comunidade a oportunidade de escolher livros de forma gratuita, promovendo a sustentabilidade e reutilização de livros. Os interessados precisam apenas de se dirigir ao 3º piso da Biblioteca, entre os dias 23 e 27 de maio, das 13h00 às 14h30 e das 17h30 às 18h30. |

Giving new life to used books
|
The third edition of the campaign Giving New Life to Used Books, promoted by FEP's Library, starts next week. The initiative gives the whole community the opportunity to choose books for free, promoting sustainability and reuse of books. Those interested need only go to the 3rd floor of the Library, between May 23rd and 27th, from 1pm to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. |

The School aims to develop, transmit and value knowledge in economics and management, within its mission and assignments. FEP develops, in connection with the economic and social environment, a wide range of activities that aim to strengthen the multidisciplinary nature of teaching, as well as to create opportunities for joining curricular and extracurricular activities, which provide direct contact with the job market and ensure training in personal and soft skills. Furthermore, it establishes collaborations with other schools, companies and organizations related to the areas of its activity, among others contents. This newsletter is engaged in the mission and strategic goals, by intervention areas, which stem from the School’s attributions, being part of the University of Porto. |
