FEP – in collaboration with the EUMODFRAUD European Research group, OBEGEF and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Burgos – promotes on the 17th and 18th of June a conference on Fraud Prevention in Companies and European Institutions. Ruth Aguilera (D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University), Florencio López-de-Silanes (SKEMA Business School) and Ilan Alon (School of Business and Law at the University of Adger) are the keynote speakers. Participation in the conference is free of charge, but subject to prior registration.

FEP and Warsaw School of Economics signed a double degree agreement for the students of their Master's programmes in Management, and it is expected the beginning of this partnership already in October 2021, with the first students going to Warsaw. Students may, upon selection, do the first year of the Master's degree in Warsaw and the second year of the Master's degree in Porto and see their training recognized by both schools. Warsaw School of Economics is the first school in the QS 2020 ranking - Business and Management studies and was in 2019 in the Financial Times rankings of the world's best Business Schools and Masters in Management.

In spite of the pandemic, FEP continues to materialize international collaborations at teaching level, putting its students in contact with foreign Professors. Last May, Professor Maxime Debo, from the University of Paris Saclay, partner school of the European network EUGLOH, gave classes to the students of the Bachelor in Business Administration (in Corporate Finance) in the scope of the initiative EUGLOH Virtual Guest Lectures. Also Professor Guillaume Vallet, from the University of Grenoble Alpes, lectured to the students of the Master in Economics (in International Monetary and Financial Economics).

Adriana Ferreira, Ana Carolina Marques, Beatriz Moutinho, Beatriz Viana, Cíntia Ribas, Gonçalo Macieira and Joana Amorim are the winners of FEP’s Talent Pool 2021. This initiative developed by FEP, in collaboration with partner companies, aims to detect students with high potential and recognize their talent, focusing, in addition to academic success, a set of transversal skills essential to any professional of excellence. Calzedonia Group, Dott, GoGlobal, McKinsey & Company, Natixis, NOS, PwC and Santander were the partner companies in this edition.

Alexandra Oliveira, Helena Dias and Telma Silva are the winners of FEP Master's Challenge 2021, an annual project of development and talent detection, which supports the training and personal development of candidates, contributing to their academic qualification. The students of the Masters in Economics, Economics of Business and Strategy and Finance, respectively, were selected by a jury composed by partner companies: Deloitte, Galp, Generali - Tranquilidade, Ibersol, IDC, Infraspeak, Millennium bcp, Porto Secret Spots and Sonae Sierra. As a prize they will receive a trip to Singapore, with visits to companies and meetings with the School’s Alumni.

On the 16th of June you can get to know Rita Araújo and Francisca Barroso (students of FEP's Master in Management and QTEM) and their company project in the Entrepreneurs Online Event. Together with other students and alumni of the QTEM programme, they will address the reality of a startup and what it is to be an entrepreneur. Both students are currently completing their Masters and QTEM, and the creation of this company is an integral part of their QTEM internship.
