How do genetics and environment influence children's eating behaviours?

An ISPUP study has concluded that although genetics strongly influence children's eating behaviours, at the age of 10, their environment can also greatly shape their appetite predisposition.


Study analysed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of the Portuguese

An ISPUP study assessed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of a group of citizens of legal age who were residents in Portugal. The authors found that younger individuals, women, more educated citizens, people who were and remained employed and those who considered their household income as insufficient or who needed to be more careful about expenses, developed more anxiety symptoms.


More than half of students with moderate and severe depressive symptoms did not seek help during the pandemic

How did the COVID-19 pandemic affect the mental health of university students and influence young people's social interactions and experience with online teaching? A study by ISPUP sought to answer this question using a sample of students from the University of Porto.
