… U.Porto provides its teaching staff and researchers with a range of training opportunities in different areas towards the development and improvement of professional skills?


In an era of rapid social, technological, business, and institutional evolution, investing in training is essential to achieving appropriate levels of effectiveness, quality, and efficiency that meet the daily challenges.

In pursuit of its responsibilities and under the current training regulatory framework, U.Porto annually promotes an internal professional training plan, in line with strategic development and innovation policies, aimed at enhancing the training, qualification, and capacity-building of its staff.

The Training Plan for U.Porto Faculty is available to all teaching and research staff at the university and can be found on the Educational Innovation page, available here.

In the context of pedagogical training for faculty and researchers, the offered courses focus on (i) Diversity, integration, and inclusion, (ii) Development of transversal skills in higher education, (iii) Pedagogical planning, (iv) Assessment of learning, (v) Learning environments, (vi) Pedagogical resources for in-person and remote classes, (vii) Transversal skills, and (viii) Operational training.

Training sessions are free of charge and take place during working hours.
